The August 2025 report from rentals.ca notes Medicine Hat is a more affordable place to live in Canada, due to rental rates declining across the country for 11 months.
The report shows Medicine Hat's average cost to rent a one bedroom unit is $1,202 and a two bedroom unit is $1,372.
Not only is rent more affordable in Canada's sunniest city, but 95% of Medicine Hat's community is satisfied with its quality of living.
The city was ranked #21 most livable city in Canada by Maclean’s in 2021.
