Move to Live

Justin and Milessa Gauthier

"We really love the simplicity of being here and the laid back nature of it all." - Justin Gauthier.

When Justin and Milessa Gauthier were searching for a new place to call home, they spent a few days in each desired city in the summer to experience the area and ask the locals how they liked living there.

A coffee shop owner and fast-food restaurant employee in Medicine Hat authentically responded with positive words and, after hearing this and exploring the city, Justin and Milessa knew Medicine Hat was the home for them and their two children.

“The weather here is better than we could’ve imagined, and our family loves spending time outdoors. We like to take the canoe out on the South Saskatchewan River from Redcliff to Police Point Park or Strathcona Island Park,” says Justin. “In the winter, we go tobogganing, on walks, and play basketball during the milder days.”

Since their move in 2018, the laid back energy in the city has been a welcoming characteristic Justin and Milessa have appreciated throughout the years, especially as the business owners of Integrity Spinal Care.

“People in Medicine Hat understand when you want to take weekends and evenings off to spend time with your family, and you really come to appreciate that. That’s vital for us, to be a part of a community that values time with family,” says Justin.

Justin and Milessa have owned their business for three years, and continue to spend their time outdoors, whether it’s in Medicine Hat, Elkwater, Calgary, Banff, Saskatchewan, and anywhere else that’s only a two to four hour drive away.

“We really love the simplicity of being here and the laid back nature of it all. We like that there are tons of places to go walking. We really like the size, where you can get anywhere in 15 minutes. And, we just love spending time outside,” says Justin.
